[Past: 1847]
He gave a sigh of relief as he took out the small, black, metallic cube which he used so often, and pressed the shiny, red button, randomizing the date of where he wanted to go in his mind. Then it appeared, the portal which allowed him to travel through time so often, "Well I guess this is bye 1847," He seemingly said to no one as he jumped into it, the portal popping out of existence in order to deliver the Traveller to his next destination.
Meanwhile, an old scientist picked up a strange piece of technology, it seemed strange and alien, but he just slipped it into his pocket as he left the room.
[Present: 2008]
The portal opened up, and out stepped the Traveller as it closed behind him, placing the cube in his pocket as he looked at his surroundings, an empty alleyway, perfect for not being seen stepping out of a portal. "Ahhh, it's great to be in an empty area," He simply said as he walked out of it, his eyes full of shock and terror as he looked at the buildings, they were slick and silver, with television screens on them, the pictures on them seeming to come out of the screen literally, they were holograms, something unnatural, just like how there were hovercrafts moving around the sky like birds. "How did this happen?" He asked himself, looking around, technology had advanced fast, he didn't understand how at all, he shoved his hands into the pockets of his white, trench coat, and he then realized something, he started to check all of his pockets as he looked for it, but had no luck, "I must of left that technology back in 1847, I have to go back and change it to how it was supposed to be," The Traveller said taking the cube ouf of his pocket once again.
Meanwhile elsewhere, gears grinded throughout the building, it seemed like a combination of a palace and a factory, sitting atop a throne was a machine, a robot, engraved onto it's metallic chest was the symbol for infinity, numbers, words, locations, and other machine's were running through it's calculating mind, "Unknown Technology detected, locating, locating," It said, this machine seemed like an all knowing super-computer in a way. "The Technology has been located, sending out soldier's now, " It said, white light shining from it's eyes as though somekind of monster.
Two humanoid machine's suddenly appeared infront of him as he clutched the cube in his hand, they stood high at six-feet, five inches in height, "You will be coming with us now," One of the machine's said, they both had the same infinity symbol engraved onto their chests. "I don't think I wi-" But before he could finish his sentence both of his arms were grabbed, each by one of the machine's, lifted off the ground abit as he was suddenly teleported from the streets of this new city, and into the darkened room of the machine palace, where sitting on the grey throne was their leader. "Well, I never expected to be captured by robots," He said looking at his two robot captor's then at the leader sitting at it's throne with the light shining down on it from above. "What technology is it that you have?" The Leader questioned, "I don't know what you're talking about," He said as he still tightly clutched the cube in his hand, "The technology you have is unknown, tell us what it is," It said, suddenly blue energy seemed to surround the small, black cube as it suddenly pulled away from the Traveller's hand, floating throughout the air, as it soon landed right into the open hand of the mechanical leader, "You will tell us how to operate it, or we shall remove your brain and find out the answers for ourselves," It said with it's cold, metallic voice, "Well I guess you'll just have to remove my brain then," He said in sarcastic tone, "Fine, we shall go with that method, take him to the removal chamber now!" It said whilst it still held the cube in it's hand, The machine's then turned around as they walked out of the room, still each holding the Traveller up by one arm. "So, can either of you two tell me who that was?"  He asked as the machine's walked him down the lit hallway, he was getting alittle tired of the lack of color abit, "He was the Infinite Leader, he helped in our creation," One of the Machine's said, "I see, so do either of you know what an EMP is?" The Traveller asked as he grinned alittle, the machine's suddenly stopped as the left one then reached into his pocket to pull out a type of black device in the shape of disk. Suddenly sparks started to fly from the device as the Infinite Machine clutched the device in it's hand, then bolts of electricity started to fly from both of the machine's bodies, they let go of his arms as they started to move and twitch uncontrollably, he landed on the floor standing on both of his feet as the two machine's fell down with a loud thud, "Well, that worked pretty well, won't last long though," the Traveller  said as he then started to run back to the room of where the Infinite Leader was.
Meanwhile, it was studying the cube, taking in it's knowledge as it clutched it in it's hand, suddenly he burst into the room, and the Leader suddenly stopped it's intake of knowledge, interrupted by the Traveller, "You have escaped from the soldier's, you are an interesting human," It said as it stared down at him, "Well, when you have useful stuff on you sometime's that tend's to happen abit," He said as he focused his amber eyes on the cube, "I have checked the record's, and I was not able to find you at all," It said the bright light still coming from it's eyes, "So, how about you come down from your throne and fight me, or are machine's too weak to fight human's?" He asked in a mocking tone, It suddenly stood up from it's throne, "We are you superior to you human's in every aspect, you have no chance," It said, placing the cube on the arm of it's throne as it then disappeared in a flash of blue light, soon starting to materialize infront of him. He suddenly made rush for the cube as the Infinite Leader as it finished materializing, he quickly grabbed it and clutched in his hand as the Infinite Leader turned to look at him, "I have my cube back, but one thing I tell you before I leave, I am the Traveller and I have beat you Infinite Leader!" He yelled as he pressed the red button on the cube, the time portal appearing as flashing as he quickly jumped into it, as it then disappeared....
[Past: 1847]
The portal appeared in the room and he stepped out of it, his past self had already left a couple of seconds ago, that was good, since now a paradox won't be made, he walked to the table and picked up the piece of technology he had left behind and softly slipped it into pocket of his white, trench coat, then door started to open, and once the old scientist walked into the room, he was only greeted by a gust of wind in the room, the Traveller having left from correcting the timeline.
